WEEKLY WEDNESDAYS - Never Forget You

Welcome to the very first installment of Weekly Wednesdays, the segment that'll be replacing Track of the Day. Very much so inspired by the Youtube duo known as SUPERFRUIT, every Wednesday, there will be a post highlighting my song of the week. 

So this week, the track that I've been playing nonstop is collaboratively concocted by the likes of MNEK & Zara Larsson which is Never Forget You. 

I believe I have MuuMuse to thank for this track as I read through his post on the 'Top 50 Best Singles of 2015' and I stumbled across this gem. 

Right from the get go, Zara's voice transcends you into her tale of despair with vocals that reminisce DHT's Listen To Your Heart. Then you have the slow pop melody build to a club ready banger as the bass drops. MNEK's vocals compliments Zara's voice especially on the bridge.  

The video's take of the song is also very heart wrenching as we watch the girl grow and consistently come back to her possible imaginary friend to the day she dies really emphasizing the point of the song in a literal sense.
