Serenade Saturday - Ain't Trippin

As of result of yesterday's track coming down from the clouds, we're pausing Soundcloud Saturday for this special edition of Serenade Saturday (namely because I didn't wanna to 2 segments of HOT RIGHT NOW in the same week. Whoops?) Moving along, today's featured track comes from upcoming artist Black Bear off of his latest project Deadroses. Before we divulge into the actual featured track, I'd like to also give honorable mentions to the G-Eazy supported 90210, the Devon Baldwin collabo Waste Away & Idfc. But anywho! Ain't Trippin definitely got me feeling some type of way, which acoustic tracks don't usually do to me (unless there's a piano) but Black Bear knows what he's doing and he's doing it right. The sweet smoothing sounding chords of the guitar and the slow R&B vibe throughout the track really takes us out of perspective of the dance/rave culture craze that most music is stuck in the world today and those lyrics are well...too on point. I feel like Black Bear and Jhene Aiko need to collaborate at some point because the two definitely know how to infuse R&B/Soul music in a way that's pure confection. Take a listen below.
