#MusicMonday - Champagne
Happy #MusicMonday people of the internet! If you may have noticed, there was no posts this past Saturday and there hasn't been the release of episode 015 of Playlistism and simply because I'm reinstating the blog with ease and just taking it slow. So until further notice, there will be no posts on weekends. (Sorry bout it?).
But on a much happier note, let's not sulk in the bad, but rather relish in the good and toast to this week's featured #MusicMonday track which is Miss Niykee Heaton's Champagne. This track comes from her 2014 EP Bad Intentions and this track means everything and more! Who doesn't love a solid track about drinking reality away? I know this writer does...(*sigh*).
Anyways! I love the production on the track with Niykee's heavy R&B influenced sound, considering it's a pop track, with the addition of a few Hip Hop ensembles meshed in. This should be the future of pop music. Her sound is also very reminiscent of the Indigo Child Tinashe. These two definitely have what it takes to lead the way into the future of more than just pop music, but music itself in having lyrics that withhold depth and musical stylings that are indefinitely timeless (my mother loves Tinashe, just saying...)
Take a listen below.
