Thirsty Thursday - Champagne
I don't know about you, but I believe that I deserve a drink (or perhaps it's just been that long since I've had my last one...No Mamrie Hart puns intended). Welcome to today's installment of Thirsty Thursday, where we feature only the best tracks to quench your thirst. Today's track features this popular alcoholic beverage spotlighted as the primary ladies choice (unless you're from the islands...) and I'm thirsty for more!
Prior to today, we had Miss Niykee Heaton as our featured #MusicMonday post with her take on Champagne being for the pain, but today sees the Wild Heart child Sabi taking it in the complete opposite direction with her hands in the sky, living her life like she's never gonna die. (;
Aside from thematic and lyrical differences between the two tracks, Sabi captures the perfect pop and hip-hop crossover with slight R&B samplings. The overall feel good mood of the track makes it the perfect toast to the freaking weekend (So close!)
Also, today's post is sort of a hybrid between being a segment of its own while also intertwined with the likes of Haus Art and Fantasy Friday, considering the album artwork is a supposed Goodnight EP that she should've released! It features this track, Goodnight, Wild Heart and the Wale assisted Where They Do That At?
